125th Anniversary Capital Campaign

In 2014, SFX embarked on a capital campaign to fulfill part of its Prophetic Plan to maintain, enhance, and expand parish facilities.  The overwhelming success of the campaign enabled the parish to enter into three years of substantial capital projects from 2016 – 2018.  The addition of Unity Hall has been used for Sunday morning Masses, providing wiggle room for youngsters with their families.  Overflow Christmas and Easter Masses view the liturgies on Unity Hall’s audio/visual system.  The Hall has been used for countless meetings involving Religious Education and Day School, adult education presentations, ministry meetings…the list goes on and on.  The gym renovations in the Education Building ushered in an accessible viewing area and bathrooms, higher ceilings, and a more efficient heating system. And the  renovation of Joyce Hall has been welcomed by ALL parishioners as we gather for school, Religious Education, receptions, and service to the BEDS community.

The success of the campaign also enabled the parish to increase the initial scope, including our new Unity Garden, which features a new paver area (blessed in the photo above), electric power transformer, and decorative lighting.

Our campaign concluded in December 2020.  Our projects are almost finished (i.e., fire detection system in the church are within the scope of the project and is expected to be completed in 2021).  Our To Teach Who Christ Is commitment Of $909,000 to St. Agatha Parish’s Educational Endowment Fund and Ascension - St. Susanna Parish was fulfilled in June 2020.
