At St. Francis Xavier we strive for a culture of welcome and hospitality towards all people - regardless of where they may be in their faith journey. Anyone who walks through our doors belongs here. We seek to welcome each person with a warm smile and open arms, as Jesus does!
Anyone can serve as a hospitality minister to help cultivate this culture of welcome. Weekend Mass Greeters

Every person who arrives at our door is deeply loved by Jesus, and we want them to know it! Help others feel that yes, you belong here; Yes, you are welcome; Yes, you are loved by greeting them at the church door with a smile! You may sign up once or many times over. Thank you for bringing the love of God to all who arrive at our doors!
Welcome Notes for New Parishioners
This small service makes a HUGE difference to our new parishioners - a short note of welcome assures them that they already belong in our parish family, and we are thrilled to have them! Each month hospitality ministers receive the names of 3-5 newly registered families to whom they write a note of welcome. You may sign up for just one month or multiple months.
If you sign up to write welcome notes, a packet with the new parishioner information, cards, and envelopes will be placed at the Rectory front desk with your name on it by the 10th day of the month you selected. You will have two weeks to write the cards and either mail them yourself or return them to the Rectory for free postage by the 25th of the month. Once you have done so, please email Kerri Sedlacek at kerrisedlacek@att.net to confirm the completion of the notes.
New Parishioner Welcome Prayer Services
SFX hosts "Welcome Prayer Services" for new parishioners on a quarterly basis. We are always in need of lectors, cantors, greeters, snack-planners, and smiling faces for these events! If you would like to serve at a Welcome Prayer Service in any capacity, please email mmcmahon@sfxlg.org.
Our upcoming Welcome Prayer Services will occur on the following dates:
- April 24, 2024 (Wed) at 6:30pm in the church
The prayer service usually lasts about half an hour and is followed by a light reception.
