Summer vacation means that students will have lots of extra time to read some great books!  In order to encourage reading, LRC and the 4th– 8th grade Language Arts teachers have selected required summer reading for students entering those grades (students should read off the list of the grade they are going into). Students should complete their reading by the time school begins in August.  Students younger than 4th grade do not have required reading, but of course we hope they read lots of books in the coming months!  Resources to help them do this are below.
