125th Anniversary Capital Campaign
In 2014, SFX embarked on a capital campaign to fulfill part of its Prophetic Plan to maintain, enhance, and expand parish facilities. The overwhelming success of the campaign enabled the parish to enter into three years of substantial capital projects from 2016 – 2018. The addition of Unity Hall has been used for Sunday morning Masses, providing wiggle room for youngsters with their families. Overflow Christmas and Easter Masses view the liturgies on Unity Hall’s audio/visual system. The Hall has been used for countless meetings involving Religious Education and Day School, adult education presentations, ministry meetings…the list goes on and on. The gym and Joyce Hall renovations in the Education Building are almost complete, bringing “oohs and aahs” from parishioners and visitors alike. The gym vestibule was completed this summer, with new accessible viewing area and bathrooms.
The success of the campaign also enabled the parish to increase the scope of projects, including our new Unity Garden, which includes a new paver area (blessed in the photo above), electric power transformer, and decorative lighting.
Pledge payments continue to come in through June 2020. Our projects are almost finished (i.e., fire detection system upgrades and Joyce Hall’s audio visual system are also within the scope of the project). Our commitment to St. Agatha Parish’s Educational Endowment Fund continues until June 2020.
God bless the 1,000 families who supported the 125th Anniversary Capital Campaign, investing in these wonderful parish facility enhancements!
